In a move which will come as no great surprise, first-team coach Mike Allcock has parted company with the Linnets to join our former manager Calum McIntyre at Chester FC.

Mikey had been with us since the start of the 2020-21 and despite losing half of that season to Covid-19, he made a big impact at the APEC Taxis Stadium.

A successful and well-rounded coaching team, also including assistant manager Colin Woodthorpe, has now been reunited at Chester.

Mikey will succeed Calum as head of Academy at the Deva Stadium while also having a role on the first- team coaching staff.

Mikey will need no introduction as during his time with Runcorn, he was also assistant Youth team manager with the Seals and lead technical coach with their Academy.

We thank him for his excellent work at Runcorn Linnets and wish him well in his new roles.
