The Northern Premier League

Iwan Murray

Position : -Midfield

Iwan's ability to produce the spectacular both from set pieces and in open play have prompted the nickname 'Magic Murray'.

Having graduated through the Chester FC Academy to join their senior squad as a contract player, the Welshman was still only 19 when he joined Runcorn in summer 2020.

Displaying a high degree of skill and a terrific workrate, Iwan has enjoyed some memorable scoring moments with Linnets - none better than his long-range effort against Leek Town, which was our Goal of the Season in 2021-22.

The diminutive attacking midfield playmaker first came to prominence in the 2018-19 campaign with Chester.

Iwan had 12 outings in National League North that season, starting six games.

He made 20 senior appearances in all for Chester, scoring three goals.

Iwan had joined the Blues from home team Denbigh Town, having previously served Rhyl at academy and senior levels.

Prior to joining Linnets, Iwan had loan spells in the Northern Premier League Premier Division at Warrington Town and Atherton Collieries.

In summer 2022, Iwan left us to return to Chester under his former Linnets manager Calum McIntyre.

Iwan Murray is not available for sponsorship at this time.
