Lewis's quality and versatility saw him being named as our Players' Player of the Year in 2022-23.

He had exploded onto the Runcorn scene in November 2021 with a stunning home debut goal against Warrington Rylands.

A rocket-like finish from the edge of the penalty box showed there is more to this young holding midfielder's game than protecting his defence!

As if to underline this, Lewis was often used in 2022-23 season in a more advanced position and scored in both the semi-final and final of the NPL West Division Play-offs.

Lewis had arrived at APEC Taxis Stadium from Atherton Collieries, where he had previously spent time on loan from Southport before being picked up by EFL club Accrington Stanley.

As a junior, Lewis spent seven years in Preston North End's Academy.
