The Northern Premier League

Peter Wylie

Position : -Defender

A key figure in Runcorn Linnets' defence over four Northern Premier League seasons, Peter was captain and longest-serving player in the squad which reached the 2021-22 NPL West Play-off Final.

The game proved to be his final match for Linnets as in the summer of 2022, Peter moved to City of Liverpool.

He always led by example at Runcorn with more than 100 appearances under his belt.

Peter had arrived at the club in time for our first home game of 2018-19, against Chasetown, and made himself a regular.

He sustained a high level of performance and consistency in his customary central defensive role while also displaying great versatility at full back or in midfield.

Peter's NPL experience  was pivotal to the club settling into life at Step 4 of the National League System.

The player signed from Marine, then of the NPL Premier Division.

He also had two spells at Skelmersdale United but began his career at Blackburn Rovers, featuring in their FA Youth Cup side.

Peter joined Stalybridge Celtic in March 2015, making 55 appearances for their National League North team, before returning to Skem from where he joined Marine in 2017.

Peter Wylie is not available for sponsorship at this time.
