Runcorn Linnets manager Calum McIntyre signed versatile and highly-rated defender Alex from Colwyn Bay and his centre back partnership with Sean O'Mahony has proved to be formidable.

Having joined our squad in October 2020, Alex is a graduate of the Chester Academy and had prior experience of Northern Premier League football through loan spells at Ramsbottom United as well as the Bay, who are now members of JD Cymru North.

Alex subsequently joined the Seagulls on a permanent basis and his performances in the shortened 2019-20 season prompted the award of their Supporters Player of the Year trophy.

Alex left Linnets in summer 2022 to return to Colwyn Bay for family reasons.
