Joe is a tenacious and strong-running midfielder, who prior to joining Runcorn in summer 2021 played for Lower Breck in the North West Counties League.

Although with us for just the one season in 2021-22, he made himself a firm favourite with Linnets fans.

He was the club's first-choice penalty taker, six of his seven goals coming from the spot.

Earlier in his career, a spell at Morecambe from July 2019 saw Joe quickly progress to first-team duty in the EFL Trophy.

Joe had previously been on contract at Crewe Alexandra, coming through their Academy and playing against Linnets in the Cheshire Senior Cup.

In June 2021, he left the club to sign a one-year deal with Chester FC.
