The Northern Premier League

Lloyd Marsh-Hughes

Position : -Forward

Teenage striker Lloyd arrived on loan from Vanarama National League North side Chester at the end of October 2021 and stayed for the remainder of the 2021-22 season before committing to a new deal at his parent club in June 2022.

The 19-year-old Welshman, who lives in Abergele, is a highly-rated protege of Calum McIntyre - graduating from the Chester Academy under our now manager's guidance.

Lloyd burst onto the first team scene at the Swansway Chester Stadium, scoring his first senior goal, aged just 16, in a pre-season friendly at Bala Town in summer 2017.

A powerful and pacy 6ft 1in frontman, Lloyd went on to make his first senior start in the home league game against Curzon Ashton in January of last year – also making 12 substitute appearances across the season.

After signing his maiden senior deal three months later, Lloyd missed the first part of the 2019-20 through an injury sustained in pre-season.

He moved on loan to Marine in October in a bid to get some valuable game time.

Coming of the bench, Lloyd crowned his debut for former Chester manager Neil Young's side with a cracking goal in a 6-0 defeat of Mossley in NPL North West.

However, he was injured early in the next game against Marske United, curtailing his stay at College Road.

In September 2020, Lloyd returned to Marine Travel Arena, scoring one of the goals in the 4-0 win over the Crosby club to round off Chester's pre-season preparations.

Lloyd appeared as a substitute when Chester visited The Millbank for a friendly ahead of the 2018-19 season.

Lloyd averaged close to one goal every three games for Linnets and by occupying defences with his presence created opportunities for others, not least Ryan Brooke.

Lloyd's goal in the 1-0 win at Prescot Cables sealed the club's place in the Play-offs.

Lloyd Marsh-Hughes is not available for sponsorship at this time.
