Mike Allcock

Position : -Management

Mike took up his role ahead of last season, completing Calum McIntyre's Runcorn Linnets backroom team.

He joined the club from National League club, AFC Fylde, where he had been Under-18s Manager – having moved to the Coasters from Hyde United.

Mike is a UEFA B Licence and FA Level 2 coach from Manchester.

His role at AFC Fylde saw him being a part of a management and coaching team, which included our now deputy manager Colin Woodthorpe as assistant to then first-team boss, Dave Challinor.

Mike's duties at Hyde included managing their North West Youth Alliooance team and coaching in the Academy.

As Community Manager at Ewen Fields, Mike organised and managed community events in Hyde to develop the profile of the football club.

A particular focus was on multi-cultural activities and integration within the town.

Mike has also served Rochdale AFC as a lead Academy coach, looking after Under 16s, Under 17s and Under 18s players.

A graduate of the University of Central Lancashire, he in his final year as a student (2016) captained the university's football 1st team to a league title and cup double.

In 2012, he had been awarded a soccer scholarship at The University of Northwestern Ohio but his Stateside stay was prematurely halted after four months by an ankle injury.

In summer 2020, Mike was also appointed to work alongside Calum at Chester FC as Youth Team assistant manager and lead technical coach for the Academy.

Mike called time on his Linnets spell in May 2020, following Calum and Colin Woodthorpe to Chester.
