The Northern Premier League

Historical Archive - Pre 1930s

This period covers the formation of the club in 1918 and the first Cheshire Senior Cup success. You may also be interested in reading a detailed profile of Eli Bullock which was kindly supplied by his grandson Glyn Aubrey. Many thanks to him.

We are very grateful to Les Barnes who lives out in British Columbia in Canada for contacting the club and sending us copies of the history of the rugby club who were the predecessors of the football club at Canal Street. These had been kept by Les's mother, whose maiden name was Peers. Les himself was formerly from Runcorn.
