10 Apr 2018 : Final push for pitch perimeter sponsorship scheme

We are now preparing for the final phase of our scheme to fully enclose the pitch perimeter at the Millbank Linnets Stadium.

Through the generosity of supporters from home and abroad, we have completed the vast majority of the work.

Chris White, Alan Spendlove and Co. have continued the tremendous efforts of Rob Johnston before them in installing the sponsored green infill panels.

The sponsorships, volunteer labour and indeed the panels themselves have helped us to transform the appearance and general 'feel' of the ground with efforts so far having taken us beyond 90% of the way to compliance with EvoStik League requirements.

Although we wouldn't need to have the work completed to qualify for promotion this season, the club is keen to get the job done promptly.

The final part of the scheme is to to fit meshing to the sections of fencing in front of the seated stand - we are unable to use green panels in that particular area as viewing from the seating area would be obscured.

The chosen alternative is less costly and as the intention has always been just to break even on the whole scheme, sponsorship of the meshed sections will be £25 each.

These will be fitted with an engraved plaque, like those applied to the green panels, to recognise the contribution of the sponsor.

So if any fan would like to further assist the club in its promotion goal by sponsoring a section for yourself or on behalf of a loved one, in memory of a late relative or friend or through a local organisation or company, we'd be most grateful.

At the same time, subject to sufficient interest, the club still intends to fit green panels elsewhere in the ground - to sections fronted by advertising boards. These can be sponsored for £35 per section.

This will hopefully open up the possibility of additional sections becoming available in other areas of the perimeter to meet fans' particular preference.

If you interested in sponsoring either a meshed or paneled section, please contact Chris White (one of our match day stewards, wearing a hi-vis jacket) at a game to make your pledge (advanced payment will be required) or obtain any further information.
